Lorene Lane McCollum, 92, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.  The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, November 11, 2022, at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Opportunity Center, Meals on Wheel, 930 Illinois St, Borger, Texas 79007.

Lorene was born July 22, 1930, in Paden, Oklahoma to Lark Lane and Ruth Ann Chronister Lane.  She married Warren McCollum on January 27, 1951, in Wilson, Oklahoma.  Lorene was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church.  She enjoyed sewing, cooking, canning vegetables from the garden, tending to her flower garden, feeding and watching birds and playing Rook with family on Friday nights.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lark and Ruth Lane; husband, Warren McCollum; six siblings; and grandson, Ryan Jones.

Survivors include her son, Chris McCollum and wife Alice of Borger; daughters, Pamela Thames and husband David of Oklahoma City, Sondra Raines and husband Terry of Fritch; fifteen grandchildren, Eric Jones, Roby McCollum, Anna McCollum, Stacy Estes and husband Joe, Shawn Thames, Karna Brittain and husband Marc, Dana Woods, Patrick Thames and wife Maria, Nick Mears and wife Shannon, Heath Mears and wife Paula, Cassie Hendrickson and husband John, Justin Raines and wife Angela, Jason Raines, Lynette Darcy and husband Martin; twenty-four great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
