Alice Harrington

Alice Louise Miller Harrington, 92, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in the Minton Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Monday, February 9, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the American Cancer Society, 3915 Bell Street, Amarillo, Texas 79109.

Alice was born June 1, 1922 in Arcadia, Kansas to Charles and Blanche Miller. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Alice loved to bake, quilt and read. She enjoyed making memories with her family searching for artifacts at Antelope Creek. Her favorite thing was to have her family over and prepare meals for them to enjoy.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merle; son, Clyde Harrington; great grandson, Todd Harrington; and a sister, Helen Farbro.

Survivors include her sons, Merle F. Harrington, Jr. and wife, Monasue of Arlington, Robin Harrington and wife, Mary of Borger; daughter, Mary Klein of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Shawn Harrington and wife, Debbie, Robin Harrington, Brian Harrington, Turner Harrington, Ann Harrington, LeeAnn Nutt and husband, Jim, Dale Klein and wife, Jeanette, Jerry Klein, Terri Allred and husband, Mark; thirteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.
