Aline Johnson, 97, of Borger, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. October 6, 2012 at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Richard Kasko of the Fritch Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow in the garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Aline was born April 1, 1915 in Wichita, Kansas to Charles Ready and Virgie Cothran Ready. She married Ervin Johnson July 1, 1939 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and graduated from Southwesten Oklahoma State University with a Masters degree. They moved to Borger from Sentinel, Oklahoma in 1957 and she was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. Aline retired from teaching after 30 years. She taught fifth grade at Gateway Elementary, and finished up her career teaching sixth grade at the South Middle School. Aline was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Collectors Club, and loved to travel, sew, and needlepoint.

Survivors include her son Robert Ervin Johnson of Borger, her daughter Connie Gallaspy and husband Dale of Borger her sister Janet Cook of Tyler, Texas two grandchildren Marcy Gallaspy Lindsey and husband Cody of Schertz, Texas, Jamie Gallaspy Hayes and husband Jerry of Keller, Texas three greatgrandchildren Connor Lindsey, Jaidyn and Jayla Hayes, and very close friends Dorothy and Bill Owen of Borger.

Aline is preceded in death by her husband Ervin July 8, 1987, and a brother Charles Ready Jr.

The family will be at 1200 University Place in Borger.
