Allen Hagburg

Allen Gregg Hagburg, 83, died Sunday October 21, 2012 in Amarillo. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the 1st United Methodist Church in Borger.

Al worked for Pennys for 39 years and retired as the Store Manager for J. C. Pennys in Borger in 1988. He was a faithful member of 1st United Methodist Church where he was actively involved in the Norway Mission and taught the Kum Dubl Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Kairos Prison Ministry Community, the Emmaus Community, the Gideons International and many civic organizations. Al married the former Erlene Jorgenson February 13, 1955 in Dickinson, ND.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Erlene, two sons David Hagburg and wife Kathy of Bayville, NJ and Mark Hagburg of Houston, two daughters Connie Jones and husband Mickey of Shamrock and Karen Fondren of Borger, seven grandchildren Madison Hagburg, Elliot Hagburg, Holly Lindley, Kevin Jones, Jordan Jones, Chase Wheeler and Zach Fondren and five greatgrandchildren.

Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice in Amarillo or the 1st United Methodist Youth Group in Borger.
