Alvin Mcbroom

Alvin R. Lightning McBroom, 77, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011 in Stinnett.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Stinnett Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Gillmore, Pastor of Riverview Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. McBroom was born on February 4, 1934 in Happy, Texas and had been a Stinnett resident since 1994, moving here from Fritch. He was a diesel mechanic for Hutchinson County and a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma. He liked to fish and enjoyed watching the Western Channel.

He is survived by his son Scott McBroom and wife Laura of Fritch, three stepsons Cecil Mulkey and Lloyd Mulkey both of Chickasha, OK, Charles Mulkey of Borger, two stepdaughters Mandy Phillips and Debra Webb both of Stinnett, three brothers Billy McBroom of Happy, TX., Everett McBroom of Friona, TX, Delbert McBroom of Evans, CO, and sister Martha McBroom of Anniston, AL.
