Amando Lujan-Molinar, Sr., 69, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016.
A memorial service will be held 10 am Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Billy Paul Vinson officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Amando was born July 13, 1947 in Mexico to Jacinta G. Molinar and Concepcion G. Lujan. He was a member of The Cowboy Church. Amando enjoyed leatherworking, going fishing, playing cards and playing pool. He was a farmer who had goats, sheep, chicken, cows and pigs. A true comedian with a great sense of humor, he enjoyed bringing joy to others lives. He always had a big heart and was willing to help anyone in need. Nothing brought more joy to his life than his grandkids and great grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rogelio Lujan; brothers, Arturo Lujan-Molinar, Pollo Lujan-Molinar, Natalio Molinar; and a sister, Yolanda Molinar.
Survivors include his wife, Elia of the home; sons, Mike Rodriguez and wife, Susan of Fritch, Amando Lujan-Molinar, Jr. and wife Mandy of Panhandle; daughters, Rebecca R. Heredia and husband Juan of Amarillo; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers, Enrique Lujan-Molinar of Mexico, Cesareo Lujan-Molinar and wife Mary Sue of Crowley, Horacio Lujan-Molinar and wife Maricella of Borger; and sisters, Elvira Valte Lujan and husband Meliton of Presidio, Enedina Perez Lujan and husband Salvador of Florida and Rosay Elia Lujan of Mexico.
