Amy June Strange, 83, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Panhandle.
Amy was born May 28, 1935 in Saddle Mountain, Oklahoma to Harvey Holden and Dorothy Pauline Eppler. She married David Quannah Strange on December 24, 1952 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Amy enjoyed reading and watching Hawaii 5-0. She worked as the director of food service for El Paso Independent School District and in Canutillo, where she retired. Amy coached her daughters in softball and led them to the championships. She followed her husband all over the world.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild; and one great grandchild.
Survivors include her husband, David of Panhandle; daughters, Carla Jo Martinez of Panhandle, Jo K. Strange of Amarillo, Donna Strange of Erick, Oklahoma, Linda Martinez of Amarillo, Paula Poole and husband Rex of Panhandle; fifteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Craah Gunn of Amarillo.
