Anna Ann Marie Looten Lindsey, 84, died Saturday, June 11, 2011, in Amarillo.
Rosary Service will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Panhandle and funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Mieczyslaw Przepiora officiating. Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Groom under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on November 6, 1926 in Groom and had been a lifetime area resident. She was a bookkeeper for Pantex Credit Union in Borger and also Hub Clothiers. She married Sammie Dean Lindsey on March 16, 1948 in Amarillo and he preceded her in death in March, 1997. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, the Altar Society, VFW and American Legion and enjoyed her family, grandkids and greatgrandkids. She was also preceded in death b her sister Susie Troy.
She is survived by three daughters Chadette Cornelius and husband Richard of Houston, Pat Tietz and husband Ellsworth of Broken Arrow, OK, Ladene Knight and husband Bob of Amarillo, brother Archie Looten and wife Gladys of Panhandle, three sisters Rosella Gorenson of Broken Arrow, OK, Virginia Stephens of Houston, Dorothy Garmon of Yellville, Ark, six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
