Arkle L. Corky Anderson, 86, died Monday, August 20th, 2007 in Borger, Texas. BRBRServices will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, Pastor officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Good Shepherd at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Corky was born October 13, 1920 in Arkansas City, Kansas and had been a Borger resident for 50 years. She was the owner of Clearview Grocery and member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1968, a stillborn son, brother - Howard Douglas, parents - Andrew George Buster Oma Hackencamp.BRBRShe loved to garden and care for her plants and birds. Corky enjoyed reading westerns and she could do the jitterbug like nobody's business. She worked very hard all her life. She was loved and will be missed.BR
BR Survivors include a son, Robin Anderson and wife, Sherry of Borger and a daughter, Talhia Rae Vanlandingham and husband Howard of Shawnee, Ok., eight grandchildren - Vince Vanlandingham, Mistie Wilson, Dusty Anderson, Tiffany Clark, Tari Thomas, Toni Allison, Tami Horn and Howard D. Vanlandingham; and nine great-grandchildren - Paige Vanlandingham, Mariah Vanlandingham, Drew and Austin Wilson, Makayla and Gavin Anderson, and Garrett and Natalie Clark and Sara Christoff; and her beloved cousin and friend - Phyllis Sierman and many friends and neighbors.
Casket bearers will be Dusty Anderson, Justin Clark, Vince Vanlandingham, Don Wilson, Mickey Boyer, David Boyer and Casey Boyer.
