Arnold Young

Arnold Denzil Young, 78, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery in Toms River, New Jersey with Rev. Rich Edwards of Mantua, NJ. Cremation was under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Arnold was born on July 18, 1932, 1 of 10 kids on a farm in OK Lane Community near Bovina, TX to Epraham Urah B. Young. He graduated from Bovina High School in 1951 and served in the U.S. Navy in the Blimp Division in the Korean War. He married Kathryn Balfrey on February 9, 1957. They were married 52 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathryn Balfrey Young on April 6, 2009, five brothers Sam, Henry, Paul, Marvin and Roy Young, and sister Mildred Young OHair,

He is survived by his son Bill Young and wife Rita of Memphis, MO,
daughter Becky Young Maxwell and her husband Stan of Borger, grandchildren
Debbie Young Legardo and husband Anthony of Columbia, MO, Jeff Young and
wife Leonica of Columbia MO, Cameron Maxwell of Borger, greatgrandchildren
Lailani Legardo, Angelina Legardo, Loralei Young, Avery Young and Jaydon
Young his siblings George Young of Sitka, AK, Lillian Young Allen of Bunnell,
FL, Donnie Young of Aledo, TX, numerous nieces and nephews including Rex
Young of Panhandle, TX.
