Arthur Cecil Thomas Jr, 84 of Panhandle passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Friday, April 19, 2024, In Panhandle Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral directors of Panhandle.
Cecil was born December 4, 1939, in Fresno, CA to Arthur C. Sr and Freda Josephine (Williams) Thomas. He came to Panhandle in 1963. On December 15, 1956, he married Jony Mae Litchfield in Santa rosa, NM. He loved playing golf, woodworking, and gardening. He was a weekend farmer for a while.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Surviving are his daughters Vicky Lynn Jay of Amarillo and Carolyn Beddingfield and husband Bruce of Panhandle. Grandchildren Tessa Mogelinski and husband Joey, Jason and wife Kassie Caffee, Cody Beddingfield, Sara Maines, and husband Casey. Great grandchildren Shadyn Caffee, Cort Maines, and Nora Maines. Great great grandchildren Cooper Caffee and Shalynn Caffee.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Cecil Thomas to Alzheimer's Associationor Bristol Park Memory care in Amarillo.
