Basil Hindman

Basil Floyd Hindman, 86, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014.

A memorial service will be held 10 am Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at First Christian Church of Borger, Texas under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to the Don Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation to assist hospice or cancer patients being treated at BSA.

Basil was born November 21, 1928 in Winfield, Kansas to Floyd and Opal Hindman. He married Phyllis Joye Binyon on March 28, 1948 in Borger. Being of strong character and determination, he successfully built his company Basin Electric Service from the ground up. In his later years, he enjoyed his cowcalf operation. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Hindman of Borger sons, Scott Hindman and wife, Janet of Canyon Tracy Hindman and wife, Faye of Benbrook eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
