Bea Worthey, 85, of Fritch, died Saturday June 2, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch with Rev. Darrell Trout of Harvest Time Church of Midland officiating, and Pastor Justin Unwin of the Fritch Assembly of God assisting. Interment will follow in the garden of Serenity at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Visitation will be 5:007:00 p.m Wednesday at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors in Fritch.
Bea was born October 10, 1926 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Charley and Thelma Perkins Taylor. She married Aubrey W. Worthey May 15, 1945 in Borger. Bea was a member of the Fritch Assembly of God, and retired as a lab technician at the Copoly plant where she worked for 40 years. She was a member of the Gussied Up Red Hat Ladies of Fritch, and loved to travel, including her favorite trips to the valley, and Colorado. Bea had lived in Fritch since 1957, moving from Buna Vista. She loved to shop, and go to garage sales.
Survivors include two sons Terry Worthey of Fritch, Larry T. Worthey of San Diego, California two brothers Charles Taylor of San Antonio, Mert Hubbard of Borger two grandsons Michael Worthey of Fritch, Shane Worthey of San Diego, California, and a special niece Bernardeta Taylor of San Antonio.
Bea is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey June 11, 1998.
