Beatrice Evelyn Mahon, 98, died Thursday, February 1st, 2007 in Borger, Texas.BRBRGraveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Chaplain C. W. Parker of Odyssey Health Care officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Good Shepherd in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.BRBRMrs. Mahon was born on July 7, 1908 in Forney, Texas and had been a Borger resident for 63 years. She married Rufus Mahon at Hugo, Oklahoma on January 6, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1969. She was a teacher for 30 years in Oklahoma and Texas. She earned her Masters of Education and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.BRBRHer survivors include her son - Mickey Mahon of Borger, brother - Kay Hughes of Paris, Tx., two grandchildren - Mark Veta Mahon of Amarillo, Cary mahon of Iowa Park, Tx., and one great-granddaughter - Kaylee Mahon of Amarillo.BRBRMemorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice Care, 6900 I-40 West, Suite 150, Amarillo, 79106 or to Wesley United Methodist Church, 1202 Valley Dr., Borger 79007.
