Bennie Miller Jr, 67, passed away on August 10, 2022, in Cibolo, TX, comfortably at home with his daughter by his side, after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer.
Celebration of life will be 1:00 pm Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Borger Christian Center.
Bennie was born on August 16, 1954, in Borger, TX to Bennie Miller Sr. and Vester Gaines. He attended schools in Borger, graduating in 1972, where he excelled in track and baseball. He worked for JB Huber directly out high school and later attended TSTI where he received a degree in Drafting and Design. Bennie worked for Phillips Petroleum for 24 years, then moved to Cibolo, TX, in 2013, where he worked as the Pitmaster at Harmon’s BBQ. Bennie enjoyed fishing, hunting, smoking meat, and talking trash to those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Billy Don Miller and Eldridge Miller, and his stepsons, Lonnie Christopher Hurd and Allen Anthony Hurd.
Bennie is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Miller Perry (Michael) of San Antonio, TX, Leticia West (Fletcher) of Evans, Georgia, his bonus daughter, Chrystal Evers of Plano, TX, sisters, Cookie Taylor and Dorothy Sims of Borger, TX, his grandchildren, Benjamin, Hannah, Austin, Delilah (Deven), Christopher (Eve), Jamal, Maurice, Ashley, Allenica, Kyanna, 7 great grandchildren, his Sweetheart, Partner and Best friend Ray Harmon, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bennie was always full of life and never met a stranger. He will be great missed by many lifetime friends, extended family that loved Papa Bennie.
