Our dear grandmother, Mimi, as she was known to her grandchildren, was a member of many ladies clubs of her day. She worked for Cotter Lumber for many years keeping the accounts and selling hardware, paint, and lumber. Mimi was a lifetime member of the Panhandle First Baptist Church. She married Jesse Clarence Shepherd in 1938, and he preceded her in death. They had two daughters, Melinda, who passed away as an infant, and Judy, who passed in 2007.
Mimi leaves behind four grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, and three greatgreat grandchildren.
Mimi finished her life in San Antonio, but her heart and soul was always in, and from Panhandle. Her sweet smile and hugs will be greatly missed.
