Betty Alford

Betty Jo Alford, 84, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017.

Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Conny Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Dawson McAllister Association, PO Box 1835, Spring Hill, TN 37174.

Betty was born October 26, 1932 in Henderson, Texas to Joe and Ruby (Cagle) Taylor. She married Robbie Alford on October 3, 1987 in Borger. Betty worked for Popular Supply for 18 years. She enjoyed playing games especially wahoo, in fact nothing brought more joy than playing games with her grandkids and visiting with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Raymond and Calvin Taylor.

Survivors include her husband, Robbie of Amarillo; daughters, Twanna VanLoon and husband Wilson of Borger, Lorie Harrelson and husband Brad of Amarillo, Ginger DeLaune and husband Lee of Orange Grove, Texas; sons, Wayne Reed and wife Annelle of Amarillo, Steve Reed of Borger, Roger Reed and wife Pam of Amarillo; Ronnie Alford and wife Angela of Borger; sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren; and sister, Barbara Fowler of Borger.
