Betty Bess

Betty Jane Bess, 82, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 in Spearman.

Services will be 2pm Thursday June 24, 2010 at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating and Philip Hudson, Pastor of Fellowship Baptist in Spearman assisting. Interment will be in The Garden of Devotion at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Bess was born on November 14, 1927 in Henrietta, TX and had been a Borger resident for 67 years. She was a homemaker and member of Bible Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband Happy Bess after 55 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by six brothers Clayton Ennis Holder, Alva Elmer Holder, Floyd Benjamin Holder, Windell Ray Holder, Robert Ennis Holder, Eugene Paul Holder, five sisters Ruby Mae Holder, Mary Ruth Holder, Edna Evelyn Holder, Alma Lea Holder and Ida Belle Holder.

She is survived by her son Donald Bess of Waco, daughter Mary Catherine Moore and husband Donald of Spearman, seven grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
