Betty Gilchrest, 72, died Friday, December 18, 2009 in Amarillo.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Soldiers for Christ Fellowship, 5th Chamberlain in Skellytown with Pastor Chip Watson officiating. Interment will be in Eastlawn Garden at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Gilchrest was born on September 28, 1937 in Borger and had been a lifetime resident of Borger, except for the past two years in Skellytown. She was a homemaker and member of the soldiers for Christ Fellowship. She loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard F. Winnie Maude Dean, her husband Jack Gilchrest, one son Johnny Gilchrest and grandson Andrew Gilchrest.
She is survived by two daughters Karen Watson and husband Chip of Skellytown, Tammie Ralph and husband Brian of Borger, sister Frances Patterson of Pampa, five grandchildren Leia Gilchrest, James Watson, Steven Watson, Christian Ralph and Joshua Ralph and one great-granddaughter, and lots of nieces and nephews.
