Betty Norris

Betty Marie Norris, 84, passed away Monday January 25, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Keeler Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Bartley officiating. Interment will follow in the garden of Beatitudes at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm. Friday January 29, 2016 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Betty was born October 28, 1931 on a farm near Greenville, Texas to Hewlett and Lillie Mae (Gurley) Phillips. She married James Norris in October 1947 in Bonham, TX and was a charter member of Keeler Baptist Church. Betty loved her grand-kids, working in her yard, bowling, quilting, and crafts.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Ruth McFarland Phillips; her husband, James April 6, 2007; her daughter, Carol in 1976; and her son Greg in 2002.

Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Calder and husband James of Borger; son, Scott and Kym Norris of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Amber Hudson and husband Rodney, Amanda Fuqua and husband Brandon, Daniel Norris, Josh Calder and wife Maribel, Haley Calder, Amy Gehrlein and husband Ryan, Whitney Martin and husband Chad; six great-grandchildren, Rileigh Hudson, Olivia Gehrlein, Ledger and Porter Martin, Bryson and Anslee Calder.
