Betty J. Thompson Ong, 81, of Stinnett passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 in Borger.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Stinnett Cemetery with Tommy Batson of Stinnett officiating. Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Betty Jean Ong was born February 20, 1935 to Olan and Daisy (Broyles) Thompson in Chula, Missouri. She moved to Stinnett in 1951 and was a member of the Stinnett Church of Christ. Betty was a waitress at the Heard and Jones Drug Store, and The Falcon. She loved her grandkids, reading romance novels, especially Danielle Steel, and playing solitaire.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Linda K. Gaddis and husband Ted of Stinnett, Diana Baca and husband Gary of Grapevine, a son Billy Thompson and wife Lois of Krum, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and special friends Cajun Baldwin and Jan Lorenz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Ong, and daughter in law Dana Thompson.
