Betty Reed

Borger Betty Zon Reed, 71, died Sunday in Amarillo. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church of Friona with Rev. Ron Coldwell, pastor, officiating. Betty was born November 7, 1936 in Clovis, New Mexico to Slim and Jewel Ashcroft. She married Frank Reed on October 27, 1956 in Clovis and had lived in the Borger area for the past 34 years. She was preceeded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Frank Reed of the home; a son - Ronnie Reed and wife Terri of McPherson, KS; a daughter - Zonya Reed of Amarillo; a grandson - Blake Reed of McPherson, KS; a granddaughter - Tiffany Goracke and husband Ben of Bonner Springs, KS; a great grandson - Reed Goracke of Bonner Springs, KS and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
