Beverly Gillmore, 88, our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 22, 2024, at Riverview Baptist Church with Bro. Scott Wallace, Bro. Alton Ray Cheatwood and Bro. Mike Kelley officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will greet friends at Riverview Baptist Church beginning at 10 am prior to the service on Friday, November 22, 2024. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to Riverview Baptist Church, 500 Riverview St., Borger, Texas, 79007 or to Camp Masterson in care of Riverview Baptist Church.
Beverly was born June 4, 1936, in Nocona, Texas to William Robert Ford and Cleo Meekins Ford. She married Jimmy Gillmore on August 14, 1954, in Roswell, New Mexico. She faithfully served alongside her husband Preacher Gillmore at Riverview Baptist for more than 54 years ministering with her gift of playing the piano. Beverly enjoyed collecting birdhouses, crocheting, and tending to the flowers and plants in her sunroom. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her family and church family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Cleo Ford; husband, Preacher Jimmy Gillmore; two great-grandsons Thatcher Caleb Paul and Caden Joshua Paul; brother, Max Ray Ford; and sister, Jean Miller.
Survivors include her son, Rocky Gillmore and his wife Sue of Houston; daughter Jennie Raef and her husband Stan of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Memre Culwell and her husband Chad, Haven Reed and wife Michelle, Shiloh Reed and his wife Amber, Robin Jackson and her husband Blake, Whitney Paul and her husband Eric, Nathan Gillmore and his wife Katie, seventeen great-grandchildren, Greysen and wife Grace, Maclin, Grant, Madok, Linden, Hadley, Hudson, Nash, Neely, Nora, Nixon, Asher, Batia, Emmett, Foster, Wells, Eli, Itzel, Giselle; great great granddaughter, Nicole; a host of extended family; and her three special babies, Jubilee, Calais, and Nugget.
Pallbearers will be Haven Reed, Shiloh Reed, Nathan Gillmore, Chad Culwell, Blake Jackson and Eric Paul.
