Bill Ray Murry

On November 8th, 1932, on Bear Creek, Borger, Texas a precious red headed baby boy was born to Elmo and Cleo Murry. On March 21 at the age of 92, life’s journey for Billy Ray Murry ended and he entered into his eternal home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years Pat, and two sons Andy and wife Rhonda and Marty and wife Cynthia. Also, one brother Bobby Murry and wife Kay, also Pat’s son Brent and her daughter Andrea. Together Bill and Pat share six grandsons, three granddaughters, six great granddaughters and three great grandsons who also will miss Grandpa “Bill”.

Bill was a self-taught championship fiddler, having won many fiddling contests and having beat five world champions.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two beloved uncles.

Funeral arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors. Service’s will be held at Riverview Baptist Church in Borger on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Scott Wallace, Pastor. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park.
