Borger Celebration of Life services for Billie Jean Aylor, 80, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Borger Church of God on Franklin St. with Pastor Bill Ratchford officiating. Interment will be in the Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mrs. Aylor passed away Sunday, October 23 in Pampa.
Billie was born August 17, 1931 in Colcord, OK to William Campbell and Nora Travis Campbell. She married Howard Aylor on October 11, 1947 in Borger and was a member of the Church of God since early childhood. She had been an area resident since 1936. Billie had a heart for teaching children and began the Childrens Church ministry in the early 70s, she also taught the Adult Sunday School class for many years. Music ministry was an important part of her life and the life of her family.
Mrs. Aylor was also a successful business woman, working in sales for the Hilcoa Corp. which later became the Hillestad Corp. for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard Aylor in 1998, her daughter Diane Aylor French in 1975, her grandson Casey Reed Aylor in 2008, one brother Raymond Campbell and three sisters Lorene Steeley, Ann Sullivan and Mary Ellen Ringo.
Billie is survived by her son Stanley and his wife Jerri Aylor of Hutchinson County, Grandson Stan Aylor II of McKinney, TX, three greatgrandchildren Mackenzie Aylor, Reed Aylor and Payton Aylor and two brothers Clinton Campbell of Vidor, TX and Jimmy Campbell of Tyler, TX and several nieces and nephews.
