Billie Don Dick Miller, 70, of Borger died September 9 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13 at Westlawn Memorial Park. Memorial Service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 20 at New Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Taylor, Associate Pastor of Borger Christian Center under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Dick was born June 20, 1942 in Ben Franklin, TX and had lived in Borger several years. He was a retired Staff Sargent in the Army serving multiple tours in Viet Nam earning the Silver Service Star, the Bronze Service Star, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry wpalm, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge and the NonCommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon among other distinguished awards. After his service to his country he worked for the National Park Service for several years. He was a proud member of the Buffalo Soldiers.
Dick was preceded in death by his father Bennie Miller, Sr.
He is survived by his Mother Vester Miller of Borger, 2 Daughters Sanquinetta D. Miller of Charlotte, NC and Teresa A. MillerJohnson of Columbia, SC, 1 Son Billie D. Miller, Jr of Sumter, SC, 2 Sisters Dorothy Sims and Cookie Taylor both of Borger, 2 Brothers Bennie Miller and Eldridge Miller both of Borger, 11 Grandchildren Phancynnette A.E. Miller, Ayreck D. Anderson, Aryenn D.M. Anderson, Shannon E. Johnson, Jr., Sharreef T. Johnson, Shavon M. Johnson, Geneva R. Cole, Tieya C. Miller, Tyliyah J. Miller, Tyja D. Miller, and Tykim J.M. Miller, 2 GreatGrandchildren Jaleel M.H. Williams and Jazmyne T. Anderson. He was married to Pauline Brooks Miller of Sumter, SC for 35 years had 3 children
