Billy Fite

Billy J. Fite, 77, died July 8, 2013 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Fairlanes Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Burwash, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Billy has lived in Borger for the past 45 years and was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Phillips Petroleum Co. He married Barbara Jennings December 25, 1968 in Borger. He was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church, the NRA and he loved to shoot trap and bowl. Billy was well known for his Gospel Music that he handed out to over 2,500 people.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Barbara, two sons Billy Fite of Durant, OK and Chuck Fite and his wife Melissa of Borger, four daughters Tammy Barnard and husband Ricky of Amarillo, Debbie Engel and husband Michael of Plymouth, MN, Linda Hopkins and husband Larry of Broken Arrow, OK and Sherrie Watters of Broken Arrow, OK, three sisters, 16 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Casket Bearers will be James Heathington, Eric Cook, Dylan Barnard and Joseph Montour.
