Billy Earl King

Billy Earl King, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the funeral home. 

Billy was born July 11, 1945, in Memphis, Texas to Willard Earl “Buster” King and Edna Honeycutt King. He proudly served in the United States Army during Vietnam. Billy was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and was loved by many friends. He was an awesome person, always loving and caring. Billy was extremely proud to be an ordained minister. He was blessed to have published two books and wrote songs that have been produced. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Edna King; wife, LaDonna King; and brothers, Willard King, Donnie King, and Mike King.

Survivors include his children, Steven King and his late wife Beatrice of Fritch, Kathy Guthrie and husband Steve of Fritch, Shawn King and wife Maygen of Amarillo, Jerrod Matlock of Skellytown, Christian King of Skellytown, Mysti Savage and husband Terry of Borger; daughter in law, Jamie Matlock; many grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Mistledine; Demarius Putman and husband Donald; brother, Roy King; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family.
