Billy Nelson

Billy "Bill" Joe Nelson, 89, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018.

Graveside services will be held 2 pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Bill was born October 12, 1928 in Bangs, Texas to John Nelson and Minnie Wilson Nelson. He retired as a truck driver for Merchants Freight Lines. He enjoyed mowing and working in the yard. Bill liked to fix bicycles and build dog houses.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Beula; son, Billy Dean Nelson; brothers, C.H. Nelson, Melvin Nelson; and sister, Esther Phifer.

Survivors include his son, Larry Gene Nelson; daughter, Dianna Lynn Martin both of Fritch; two grandchildren, Billie and Christopher; two great grandchildren, Andrew and Ivy; brother, Dennis Nelson of Stinnett; and daughter-in-law, Constance Nelson.
