Billy Nickens

Billy L. Nickens, 62, died Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Borger.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Richard Kasko, Minister of the Fritch Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Nickens was born on December 25, 1947 in Eldorado, OK and had been a Borger resident for 40 years. He married Myrna Howard on December 22, 1970 in Guymon, OK and was a retired supervisor at the rubber plant at Chevron Phillips. He served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He enjoyed golf and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Nickens.

He is survived by his wife Myrna Nickens of the home, two sons Wesley Nickens and Eric Nickens both of Amarillo, two brothers Jerry Nickens of Houston, G. C. Nickens of Sedan, NM, two grandchildren Ethan and Kylee Nickens and one grandson on the way.

The family will be staying at 1306 Clayton in Borger.
