Bluford Turner

August 15, 1925 — July 21, 2006

Bluford Monroe Turner, 80, died Friday, July 21st, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Llano Cemetery with Rev. Bill Browning, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Turner was born August 15, 1925 in Olton, Texas. He married Dorothy Frisbie on March 27, 1942 in Amarillo, TX. He worked at Steere Tank Lines for 30 years as a Terminal Manager, PGC Feeds for 12 years and then for the Canadian River Authority. He will be loved and missed by his many family and friends. Mr. Turner was preceeded in death by his wife, Dorothy; his parents; a sister, Lucille Frisbie and a brother, Kenneth Turner. He is survived by his son - Wayne Turner and his wife, Jonnie of Amarillo, two daughters - Linda Garrett and her husband, Jesse of Amarillo and Betty Kelley of Big Springs, TX, three brothers - Luther Turner of Las Cruces, NM, Pearl Turner of Midland, TX, and Tommy Turner of Austin, TX, three sisters - Betty Lou Vaughn of Amarillo, Frances Hillard of Lovington, NM and Helen Holt of Eunice, NM, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family will be staying at Linda Garrett's home at 4310 S.E. 14th in Amarillo. Memorials may be made toBSA Hospice Box 950 Amarillo, Texas 79105
