Bob Uptergrove

Bob Norris Uptergrove, 84, of Fritch Texas, passed away on September 18th, 2016.
Bob was born September 4, 1932 to Fannie Gertrude Summers and William Elmus Uptergrove, Willow Oklahoma of Beckham County.

Bob is preceded in death by his brother; Oather, Parents, and wife; Jo Ellen. He is survived by his son Bill and daughter-in-law Janice, and two grandchildren; William and Paige.

Bob proudly served in the Korean War with the 245th Tank Battalion; having enlisted in the Oklahoma National Guard in 1950 at the age of 17. He received his Ocina High School diploma in Japan while awaiting forward deployment into the Korean Theater. Upon completion of his honorable service to the Nation, he relocated to Borger, Texas in the early 1950's to work for Phillips Petroleum Company where he remained until his retirement 42 years later.

Services will be on Thursday, September 22, 2016, 4:00 p.m. at Minton Chatwell Funeral Home in Borger, TX with James Piazza officiating. Graveside service will be at Spring Creek Cemetery in Willow, Oklahoma on Friday, September 23rd at 10 a.m. where he will be laid to rest with his grandparents and aunt.
