Bobbie Smith

Bobbie Joyce Lyles Smith, 82, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020.

Graveside services will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 10, 2020 in Lower Greens Creek Cemetery in Dublin, Texas.  The family will receive guest from 5-7 pm on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.

Bobbie was born March 17, 1938 in Brownfield, Texas to Carl Ellis Lyles and Willie Pauline Adams Lyles.   She worked as a clerk for Hendrix Drug Store, St. Anns’s Nursing Home and at the Carson County Museum.  Bobbie was a member of First Baptist Church of Panhandle and the 55+ Club.  She enjoyed going to the races and watching her son Ricky and granddaughter Nikki race.  Bobbie loved to fish with her family, especially the ponds in Miami.  Bobbie had a true love for people, but her dogs Bandit and Sadie had a prominent place in her heart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Burnis Lyles Henderson.

Survivors include her son, Ricky Ford of Canyon; daughters, Debbie Ford of Panhandle, Janice Ford of Auburn, Kansas; grandchildren, Dedra, Nikki, Dena, Jennifer, Courtney, Becky; great grandchildren, Destiny, Devin, Camaron, Mackenzie, Jason, Kadance, Brandon, Dayson, Carter, Bailey, Braidon, Caisen; great-great-grandchildren, Izzabeth, Lukiss; sister, Rossie Evelyn Gideon of Amarillo.
