Bobby Ray Blankenship, 86 of Stinnett, died Thursday, November 19, 2015. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 21 at the First Baptist Church in Stinnett, officiated by Rev. Mike Donathan. Burial will be in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive visitors Friday evening from 5-7 at the funeral home.
Bobby was the son of John and Alvis Wiley Blankenship. He was born May 13, 1929 in Achille, Oklahoma. Bobby married Erma Dean Ausbrooks on December 14, 1957 at Central Baptist Church in Borger. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corp. Bobby was a member of First Baptist Church and he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a self-employed barber, where he was always jamming to Blue Grass and Gospel Music in the shop.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.
He is survived by his son, Brad and wife, Stephanie of Krum, Texas; daughter, Abby Dennis and husband, James of Stinnett; brothers, Jimmy Blankenship of Stinnett, and Mark Blankenship of Calera, Oklahoma; sister, Elaine Mullens also of Calara; grandchildren, Caitlin Blankenship, Kennedi Blankenship, Ashley White and husband, Trey, and Justin Dennis; great-grandchildren, Conner and Branson White, Makayla and Hallee White.
