Bobby Cooper

Bob Cooper, 85, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Zeb Sailors and Mr. Richard Kasko officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bob was born on March 19, 1925 in Wheeler County, TX to E.J. and Flo Cooper. He had been a longtime Hutchinson County resident and was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. He owned an auto dealership and Coopers Western Store. He served in the US Navy during WW II. Bob married Bessie Davis on June 1, 1946 in Stinnett. She preceded him in death in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and six brothers Paul, Bill, Morris, R.D., Hollis and Jack.

He is survived by his son Fred Cooper and wife Marilee of Borger, sister Juanita Whitten and husband Jack of Borger, three grandchildren Cory Cooper and Carl Cooper both of Borger, Kendra Roughface and husband Nick of Hobart, OK, three greatgrandchildren Gavin Cooper, Mason Cooper and Cheneya Roughface.

Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.

The family will be staying at 1517 Gawain.
