Bobby William Knoll was born February 1, 1957 in Shamrock, Texas at Shamrock General Hospital.
He was baptized in the Trinity Lutheran Church Shamrock on December 4, 1958 and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church on April 4, 1971. Bob went home to be with his Lord, Monday, June 9, 2014.
Bob was member of Boy Scout Troop 76 becoming an Eagle Scout on December 27, 1971. He received the Order of the Arrow and the God and Country Award on February 7, 1971.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Kelli Paige his grandparents, Bill and Jane Knoll and William and Ora Blalock and Uncle Marvin Knoll.
Bob graduated from Shamrock High School May 26, 1975, where he was President of his senior class. He graduated from West Texas University in May 15, 1982.
Mr. Knoll was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Borger where he held several congregational offices.
Bob loved Flying He was a certified airplane mechanic and enjoyed tinkering with airplanes. He invented several patents that improved engine performance.
Bob is survived by two daughters, Kaitlyn Knoll and Kendra Knoll, both of Amarillo parents, Franklin and Connie Knoll of Shamrock one brother, James Knoll and wife, Brandi of Bushland one grandson, Bennett Gilbreth of Amarillo uncle, Ronald Blalock and wife, Millie of Little Elm, Texas aunt, Doris Knoll of Shamrock nieces, Kaylee Knoll, Kendall Knoll nephew, Kody Knoll and mother of his children, Jana Knoll Brown. Bob will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Borger. Burial will be at 3:30 pm Thursday in Shamrock Cemetery.
