Bobby Mayberry

Bobby Gerald Mayberry, 75, died Monday, July 20, 2009 in Amarillo, Texas.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Willie Adams, pastor of Eternal Light Church officiating. Interment will be in Vesperland Garden at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Casket bearers will be Robert Godwin, David Garrard, Michael Tollison, Terrell Mayberry, Michael Ratcliff and Edward Ratcliff. Honorary will be J. D. Mayberry.

Bobby Gerald Mayberry was born on April 4, 1934 in one of the camps south of Borger,Texas. His parents were Haley and Lucille. He spent most of his childhood in Lefors and Borger. He lived in Borger most of his adult life but relocated to Stinnett about 20 years ago.

Mr. Mayberry was a crane operator for numerous years with various companies in the area. He had also worked in the oil fields and did some painting in the past. He was known to some as Fitzgerald.

He was very active in the past. He loved to dance and have a good time until the last few years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, along with his four brothers, Jesse, John, Jack, and Jerry Mayberry, one sister Rowena Garrard and two sons.

Mr. Mayberry is survived by ten children, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Family will be gathering at 621 Cromwell in Sanford, Texas and 1105 Sterling in Borger, Texas.
