Bobby Ray

Bobby Dene Ray, 81, died October 27, 2014 in Amarillo. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ at Borger with Mr. Denny Sneed, Minister officiating. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Dozier Cemetery in Collingsworth County under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Bobby was born March 26, 1933 in Collingsworth County to William Crawford Ray and Rose Dickerson Ray. He has lived here since 1974 and was a member of the Church of Christ at Borger. Bobby was a Construction Manager for Zachary and proudly served in Korea and Germany in the Army with the Armored Calvary Division as a Forward Observer. He married Kay Beckner December 31, 1958 in Alison, TX.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Kaye, his son Chris Ray of Bozeman, Montana, his brother Lloyd Bud Ray of Pearsall, TX, his sister Jo Amen of Bridge City, TX, his three grandchildren Sean, Callie and Westin.

Casket Bearers will be Cooper Jones, Tim Whipkey, Gordon Pierce, Larry Barnes, Dean Florer and Tom Phelan.
