Bobby Nathanial Sargent, 70, died Monday, March 1, 2010 in Amarillo.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the First Assembly of God Church in Stinnett with Rev. Dennis Richardson, Pastor officiating. Cremation was under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Sargent was born on June 10, 1939 in Corpus Christi, TX and had lived in Stinnett since 1950. He married Winnie Phillips on November 13, 1981 in Borger. He opened his own insulation business, Sargents Insulation, in the early 1960s and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Stinnett.
He loved to build gocarts and motor scooters for his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed working on motors and building things with his hands. He always wanted to make people laugh and help people out.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Minie Sargent, four brothers Jimmy Ray Sargent, Jerry Don Tate, Willie Tate and Elbert Tate, two daughters Cindy Sargent and Sherri Sargent.
He is survived by his wife Winnie of the home, stepson Dusty Lovell of Dallas, daughter Ginger Graham of Baytown, stepdaughter Sandra Lovell of Stinnett, two brothers Jimmy Tate and wife Delwade of Borger, Elijah Tate and wife Janie of Fritch, sister Kay Tate Adams and husband Bill of Borger, six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
