Bonnie Dale Anderson Schropp died Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas.

Private graveside services were held Monday at Westlawn Memorial Park, Pastor Janell Blair officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests her memory be honored with a gift to a charity of choice. Services were under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Schropp was born on January 30, 1924 in Big Spring, Texas to Walter and Okla Anderson and grew up on the Anderson Family Ranch.  She graduated from Texas Tech University and taught school in New Mexico and Texas.  In 1952 she married Rex Schropp, a Petroleum Engineer from Kansas.  They were married on the Anderson Ranch.  They had three children.

Bonnie was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in Borger, Texas and a longtime member of the Presbyterian Women’s Circle.  She was a volunteer for the Department of Human Services for many years.  Bonnie was a sponsor for Jane Phillips Society, serving in Odessa, Texas and Borger, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex in 2006; her parents, Okla and Walter Anderson; brother, Lee; sisters, Barbara Eastland and Christine Smith; and sister-in-law, Norma J. Lewis.

Survivors include her two sons, Steven Schropp, PhD. of Dripping Springs, Texas, Scott Schropp of Pearland, Texas; daughter, Sherri Hollis of Amarillo, Texas; four grandchildren, Stephanie Rush and Kimberly Schropp of Florida and Chris and Dani Hollis of Houston; three great grandsons, Oscar, Irik and Neil of Jacksonville, Florida; and eight nieces and nephews.
