Burl Teague

Burl Robert Teague, 90, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors. In lieu of flowers his memory may be honored with a gift to a charity of choice. Mr. Teague will lie in state beginning Monday at 8 am.

Burl was born January 2, 1927 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Harry Tracy Teague and Norma Boles Teague. He proudly served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Burl married Winnie "Jean" E. Watson on March 21, 1946 at Sanford, Texas. He worked as a supervisor for Phillips for over 38 years. Burl enjoyed working in the yard and playing golf.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Winnie "Jean"; brother, Herman Teague; and sister, Margie Fagan.

Survivors include his sons, Gerry Teague of Paris, Texas, Terry Teague and wife Janet of Plainview; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren; brother, Carl Teague; brothers-in-law, Willy Watson of Lubbock and Chief Fagan of Borger.
