C. Whatley, Jr.

C. P. Packy Whatley, Jr., 93, died Tuesday March 18, 2014 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fritch Church of Christ with Richard Kasko, minister officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Mr. Whatley was born March 31, 1920 in Eliga, Texas to C. P. Whatley, Sr. and Maude Ethel Hill Whatley. He was an Operator for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. in Fritch and had lived there since 1953. Packy was a Decorated Veteran of WW II in the Army. He was a member of the Fritch Church of Christ and married Caroline Adams February 8, 1941 in Gatesville, Texas who preceded him in death in 2003.

He is survived by his son Joe Whatley and wife Jackie of Fritch, his daughters Judy Anderson and husband Steve and Carole Whatley both of Fritch, 8 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Fritch from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
