Carl C. "Doc" Holliday, 74, passed from this life December 22, 2021 in Dumas. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Stinnett Cemetery with Pastor Dwight Kirksey of Celebration Family Church officiating. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Doc was born October 13, 1947 in Borger to Clifford Holliday and Leta Judd Holliday. He has lived his lifetime in Hutchinson County and was a Maintenance Supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Co. until his retirement. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army in Vietnam. He married Sally Jordan July 26, 1969 in Borger and they celebrated fifty-two years of marriage. Doc loved to play poker and go to casinos, he also loved to go to National Monuments and enjoyed anything history related. He took great pride in tending to his garden and his yard, in fact they were his pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Doc is survived by his wife Sally, his two daughters Carla Howard and her husband Audie of Fritch and Rebecca Adamson and her husband Micah of Borger, his three grandchildren Amy Parker and her husband Brad, Austin Henry and his wife Marina and Macee Adamson, his great-granddaughter Jaedyn Fetterolf.
Casket bearers will be Micah Adamson, Audie Howard, Brad Parker, Austin Henry, Bruno Lovato and Rob Henry.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 on Monday evening.
