Carl Slate

Carl Wesley Slate 78 of Pampa Formely of Borger died Nov. 24, 2006 at Pampa, Texas.He was born in Gouldbusk, Texas May 3, 1928 to Wesley S. and Minnie Slate. He had been a resident of Borger for 62 years working for the city of borger 31 years in the street department. He served in the USArmy. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be Monday 3pm Nov. 27, 2006 at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pasor of Bible Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the garden of Eastlawn at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Survivors are his nephews Eilijah Slate Jr. of Pampa, Pete Walker of Austin, Texas and Tommy Gregory of Miami, Texas. Nieces Carol Deaver and Punkin Simpson both of Pampa, Texas, Shirley Parent of Keithville, Texas, Toni Slate of Tribune, Kansas, Faye Simon of Marble Falls, Texas, June Jennings of San Marcos, Texas, Sheila Williams and Belinda Haskell of Miami, Texas.
