Carmelita Gaytan

Carmelita G. Gaytan, 62, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 16, 2019 in Westlawn Memorial Park.  Rosary will be recited at 5 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the funeral home.  Services are under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Carmelita was born May 21, 1957 in Alice, Texas to Ascencion Gonzalez and Antonia Alma Godinez Gonzalez. She enjoyed watching television, listening to music, playing the loteria and cooking.  Nothing brought more joy to her life than being with her family especially her grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jose Manual Gaytan; three brothers, Balde, Carlos and Fernando; and grandson, Alberto Vega, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Jose Gaytan of Borger; daughters, Maria Guillen and husband Eleno of Borger, Diana Vega and husband Alberto of Borger, Precilla Garcia and husband Ignacio of Borger, JoAnn Garcia and husband Juan of Abilene; twenty grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; brothers, Arturo Gonzalez and wife Susie, Alnufo and wife Antonia, Encarnacion, Jesse all of Alice; sisters, Rachel Castillo and husband David, Isabel Gonzlez both of Alice; and a host of extended family.
