Carmon Baker

June 9, 1944 — March 23, 2013

Carmon Jane Baker, 68, died Saturday March 23, 2013 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gary Snider, Associate Pastor of Friends and Family Worship Center in Amarillo officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Carmon was born June 9, 1944 in El Paso, Texas to Guy and Alta Trego. She was a Master Groomer and had numerous Trophies and Awards Nationally. She had her masters with National Dog Groomers, International Professional Groomers and ISCC. Very few women in the industry have all three masters. Carmon was a Speaker at seminars and a member of ABKA. She has lived in this area for 40 years graduated Frank Phillips College in 1979 and was Salutatorian of her class. Carmon was a gifted Bible Student and Teacher, her specialty was teaching the Tabernacle.

She is survived by her two sons Jerry Wayne Laird and wife Carmen of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jeffery Wade Laird and wife Shauna of Westcliffe, Colorado and her daughter Jeannie Wyne Laird of Corpus Christi, Texas, her sister Rita Daugherty of Placentia, California, 4 Grandchildren Jacob, Zachary, Elizabeth and Samuel and 2 Great Grandchildren Elijah and Judah.

In leiu of flowers Carmon wanted donations to be made to the Colorado Springs Down Syndrome Association, P. O. Box 2364, Colorado Springs, CO 80901 or CSDSA.org.
