Carol was born December 20, 1933 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She moved to Stinnett, TX at an early age and graduated from Stinnett High School. She married Richard Christian Goodwin January 12, 1957 and along with Richard’s brother Curtis, they established Goodwin Pharmacy. After obtaining her real estate license she worked 32 years at Pioneer-Lawyers Land Title Services in Stinnett. Carol loved spending time at the family cabin in Eagle Nest, NM, as well as camping and fishing. However, nothing brought her more joy than the time she spent spoiling her grandsons Jarrod and Jacob. They couldn’t have had a better Grammy. If you had to describe Carol with a quote, it would be “though she be but little, she is fierce”. Underneath that feistiness was a heart of gold and a genuine desire for everyone to become the best version of themselves.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her son Rod and his wife Angela of Fritch and her two dearly loved grandsons, Jarrod and Jacob Goodwin. Her brother, Robert Reeves of Huntsville, Utah and several nieces, nephews and friends whom Carol loved very much. The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the staff at Borger Healthcare Center and Interim Hospice Care for the love and care they provided Miss Carol. Elaine and Lupe, she loved you and we thank you.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request donations be made in Carol Goodwin’s honor to Faith City Mission, P.O. Box 870, Amarillo, TX 79105 or Connect Community Services, P.O. Box 533, Fritch, TX 79036.
