Carolyn Bustillos

Carolyn Joyce Bustillos, 67, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 in Amarillo.

A celebration of her life will be held 10 am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 in the Minton Memorial Chapel in Borger.

Carolyn was born on June 8, 1951 to Dorothy and J.C. Chandler in Shamrock. She married the love of her life, Leo Bustillos on September 30, 1985. They made their home in Fritch, where they enjoyed singing, dancing and playing in the band.

Carolyn loved karaoke night at The Cattleman's and dancing with her friends.

Her son Johnny and grandkids brought much joy to Carolyn. She loved every minute she got to spend with them.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo on February 9, 2013; her mother, Dorothy; infant daughter; a brother, Gary Chandler; and sisters, Glenda Nivens, Judy Chinea and Shirley Rodriguez.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Smith, Jr. and wife, Christi of Follett; father, J.C. Chandler of Amarillo; sister, Sonya Pruitt of Stinnett; brother, Ronnie Chandler and wife Judi of Kingston, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Candace Corbin and husband Timmy, Brandace Smiley and husband Paul, and Shelby Smith all of Fritch, Madisian and Devian McDowell of Canadian, Quentian Smith of Canadian; numerous great grandchildren; nephews, Sammy Bassham and wife Erica, Donny Pruitt and wife Julie, Bobby Bassham, Billy Joe Preas, Billy Jack Pruitt, Bobby Crawford; and a host of extended family and friends.
