Carolyn Nivens

Fritch Carolyn Lee Nivens, 62, of Fritch died Saturday morning at home. Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Odyssey Chaplain C.W. Parker officiating. Interment will be in The Garden of Love under the direction of MintonChatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Carolyn was born August 16, 1945 in Clarendon. She was a homemaker and beloved wife. Survivors include her husband, Larry Joe Nivens Sr. of Fritch; a son - Larry Joe Nivens, Jr. and Elisha of Fritch; 2 daughters - Selina Corbin and Bert of Dumas and Jean Gipson and Mark Powers of Amarillo; a brother - John Thomas Huckins of Arizona; 3 sisters - Pat Attridge of Arizona, Willa Risenhoover of California and Louise Dillon of Arkansas, 14 grandchildren and 2 great granschildren. The family would like to especially thank Danna Hysmith, Kelly Bailey and C.W. Parker all of Odyssey Health Care for the wonderful love and compassion they showed toward Carolyn.
