Catheron Upson, 84, of Borger, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 in Borger.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Shawn Dunigan of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the garden of Love at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Catheron was born October 19, 1927 in Blackhawk, Louisiana and had been a Borger resident since 1944, coming from Port Arthur, Texas. She married Ross M. Upson October 27, 1943 in Koontz, Texas. Catheron was former manager of several 711 convenient stores in the Borger area, and then became owner operator of Ross Roost at Lake Meredith, and four way. She was a Presbyterian, member of the Borger, Dumas, and Fort Clark Springs Art Club. Catheron loved to do genealogy, and being with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Trudy Nash and husband Jim of Borger, a brother Dr. Fritz Lancaster and wife JoAnn of Ferriday, Louisiana, five grandchildren, Andrew Thompson of Borger, Ross Thompson of Lubbock, Ami Parrish of Washington D.C., Jimmy Nash of Amarillo, Jennifer Mull of Knoxville, Tennessee, and 13 greatgrandchildren.

Catheron is preceded in death by her husband December 24, 1996, parents, Fred Lancaster, Mathilde Lancaster, Nancy Lancaster, one brother, and one sister.
